Easy Chicken Tikka Masala
Hello everyone 👋🏾.
Today I want to share with you the recipe of the most popular Indian dish 🇮🇳: Chicken Tikka Masala.
My children love eating Chicken Tikka Masala. I usually serve this with basmati rice and naan for a complete meal.
Ingredients
- Onion
- Garlic
- Ginger
- Garam masala
- Chili flakes
- Tomato puree
- Chicken meat
- Vegetable or chicken stock
- Coconut milk
- Lime
- Cilantro
- Oil
Instructions
- Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Peel the ginger tuber and grate it finely on a grater.
- Heat a large pan over medium to high heat, with oil. Now toast all the dry spices in the oil for approx. 2 minutes.
- Add the garlic, ginger and onion to the pan. Add a little extra oil if needed. Fry everything for 5 minutes.
- Cut the chicken into cubes. Add the chicken thighs and let them brown well on each side. Avoid stirring too much, as the chicken should fry and not boil.
- Now add the tomato puree and let it shake well with the other ingredients.
- Now turn down the heat and add a little of the stock and the coconut milk.
- Let the dish simmer on low heat for 5-10 minutes. Thin with extra stock if the sauce becomes too thick.
- Serve Tikka masala with cooked rice, warm soft naan bread, fresh coriander and lime wedges.
